Frequently Asked Questions
Functional and Integrative Medicine
Serving patients in the Kansas City Metro and the State of Kansas needing a functional approach
What primary services do you offer?
I listen to each patient's story. Deducing particular needs for functional lab testing from that story gives me the ability to order and interpret unique tests to address endocrine, gastrointestinal, rheumatologic, and other problems.
Functional integrative medicine looks deeply into the chemical, nutritional, and autoimmune status of the patient. I test autoantibodies and assess inflammation, test the microbiome of the gut to assess imbalances and carefully use the safest hormone replacement that can optimize the quality of life and promote cancer prevention. My 25-year experience in the functional approach has successfully helped many patients break through their cycle of chronic disease.
